We may also collect basic website data such as device type, browser, pages visited, and general location based on IP address. This helps us improve the site and reduce spam.

We do not need financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other highly sensitive records to match you. Please do not send them. If you use our forms, keep it to contact details and what you are seeing at the home.

How we use your information

We use your information to run the service you asked for.

1. To respond to your request. We may contact you by phone, text, or email about the problem you described.
2. To match you with participating professionals. Matching is free to homeowners. Participating pros pay a flat fee to receive some requests.
3. To improve the service. We review trends, site performance, and common questions so we can make the site clearer and more useful.
4. To prevent fraud, abuse, or spam.

We may share the details you submit with participating contractors so they can contact you about your request. We may also use service providers that help us host the website, send messages, or analyze traffic.

We do not sell your bank information because we do not ask for it. We do not need your SSN. We try to limit collection to what is reasonably needed for matching and support.

Your choices and your rights

You are in control.

• You can choose not to submit a form.
• You can ask us to stop contacting you.
• You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link, if one was sent.
• You can ask what contact information we have for your request and ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
• You can ask us to delete request information we still control, subject to reasonable recordkeeping, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

If you are matched with a contractor, that contractor may keep its own records under its own privacy practices. If you want your information deleted from a contractor's system, you may need to contact that contractor directly too.

Some browsers let you limit certain tracking through cookie controls. If our site uses analytics or similar tools, you can also limit some tracking through your browser settings.
